How To Paint Straight Lines

Another important part of face painting is learning how to paint straight lines consistently. This can be quite tricky if you’re a beginner at face painting… and it does require some practice.

Fortunately, I have a few tips for you that should help decrease the time it takes you to perfect this important part of face painting.

So let’s get started:

Firstly, remember to hold your paint brush CLOSE to the bristles. This gives you more control over the brush.

Another useful tip that is sometimes overlooked is to start moving your paint brush BEFORE you actually make contact with the person’s skin. This will help you avoid those early wobbles you may get.

Try to keep the brush at right angles to the skin for more precision while you’re moving your hand.

A good way to cheat (its not cheating if it works!) is to balance your hand by putting your little finger on the skin.

This will help keep you steady, and it’s a quite effective way of keeping your lines straight consistently.
